Camping check-in is AT THE CAMPGROUND, not the park office. The Park Office road cannot accommodate trailers or RVs, so be sure to navigate directly to the campground.
Very quiet nice campground
The campground entrance is separate from the park entrance. It is off Leslie road. Google sends you to the park. Instead, take Rte 7 to Leslie rd . That is the more direct route. There is a Giant Eagle 5 mi from the park so no need to stock up. You can walk to the pioneer village through the woods. It takes about 30 min. The pioneer village is really interesting and I highly recommend it.
There are nice tent sites but most are not adequate for large RV or 5th wheel campers. They showed a children's movie on Saturday night. The kids sure had fun. If you want more peace and quiet, camp at the ends of one of the loops. The left loop as you enter is in pine forest and quite nice. The camp hosts kept the restroom (pit toilets) very clean. There is a hut where you can bring a sun shower bag. There are no showers. Remember bug spray.
Definitely could have more amenities but pretty nice for 18$ no electric
